why I am sad
I am sad. Would you like to know why I am sad? I am sad because the Panthers lost yesterday. I am even more saddened by the fact that the loss came to the Houston Texans. Who you ask? That’s right, the Texans. The team that always gets the # 1 draft pick because they are always horrible. We didn’t just lose either, we lost miserably. We lost 34-21, but if you break it down we lost 34-14. Steve Smith scored a touchdown with 4 minutes left in the game (it was already over) which put us at 21. It wasn’t close at all.
Here are a few upsides though: Steve Smith plays for us, we are tied for first in the division, Steve Smith is our wide receiver, and Dan Morgan hasn’t had a concussion yet. Oh, and Jake at QB is having a surprisingly good year. Anyway, we have 14 games left. Who would ever have thought we would be looking up at teams like the Lions, the Packers, and the Texans, and tied with teams like the Browns and the Cardinals? What is the world coming to…

*On a much brighter note, that last touchdown I spoke about was the sickest play I have seen so far this season. It has ESPY written all over it. Steve Smith caught a pass and immediately was swallowed up by a mob, got banged around by about 4 or 5 guys, spun and somehow broke loose, only to run 74 yards downfield for a TD. That was sweet, but not sweet enough to make me not sad. Thanks for trying though #89.
