About Phil
My name is Phil, and I live with my incredible wife Jennifer in New London, NC. I’m on staff with That Youth Thing, a ministry passionate about serving kids and pumped about bringing a kickin youth center to Stanly County. I love Jesus, my wife, my dog Jax, coffee, guitars, football, Carolina athletics, hanging out with kids, and people with double first names (i.e. Chris George, Ben Daniel, or Cindy Leslie).

Phillip,
Just wanted you to know how proud Nolan and I are of you and Jennifer.
I love this picture too!!
I feel God has something special for both of you. He definitely has his hands on you in a mighty way.
Life is not easy, but it is worthwhile when you are attempting to live Christ-Like.
Love,
Nita

You would think that spending money of others you would use it and your talent to spread the word of God to people locally and in the USA

Phillip and the Pleasant Grove Mission Team,
I am very proud of each of you for answering the call that the Lord has laid on your hearts! I pray that every person you encounter a tiny seed will be placed in their heart so that they too will one day come to know and love the Lord as you do.
Please don’t allow the disheartening words of others; such as one of the previous posts below hinder the mission you are on. Pray and take heed for the Lord will always be with you. You ARE doing the Lord’s work!
A note to those who will read this and disapprove and begrudge the missionary team:
Where is the Christianity in discouraging a missionary team that is trying to spread the Word of God?

Jesus said we are to do so.
Mark 16:15
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
We are to go into ALL the world not JUST our own communities and nation.
A finial statement to all nay Sayers about this mission to Scotland, what are YOU personally doing to further the glory of the Kingdom of Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Do you really know and love Jesus? If so, you cannot be invoking discord among your brothers and sisters in Christ?
I challenge everyone to love your neighbor, search your own heart, and listen to what God has to say to you then go and do so in His name.

I cannot imagine how heartbroken God must feel to know that people object when there are Christians who have a desire in their heart to share his word with others!!!!
Yes, we are to witness in our area– but that is for ALL of us. What are WE doing??? Are we visiting the nursing homes- witnessing to our neighbors- inviting others to our church- living Christlike before others?
These 5 young people have had an experience that most of us can only imagine!!!
I am sure their faith will be stronger and they have a better understanding of how wonderful our country is and the luxuries and freedoms we take for granted that God has given us. What better way to witness to others when they return?
Hopefully, this will make their faith stronger and create a fire within that will make witnessing at home more incredible than ever!
I agree with Mr. Whitley, I truly believe that the people who are against others witnessing for Christ WHEREVER it is, should examine their own heart.
I Love these 5 wonderful Christians that were willing to take the time from their lives to give back to God.
Keep on keeping on!!!
Remember that Satan may win some of the battles, but GOD HAS ALREADY WON THE WAR!!!!
LOVE TO ALL OF YOU!!
